今年的威士拿美食美酒節 Cornucopia 在 11 月 11-14 日,利用了國殤紀念日長周末,為一眾食友展開一年一度和飲食有關的大型活動。
要推重頭戲,當然是在 12 號及 13 號晚上舉行的 “CRUSH” Gala Grand Tasting,除了本省名釀登場,連世界各地酒莊亦覬覦加國西岸這個大市場,湧來開設試酒攤位,介紹本家出品,為劉伶潻樂。
不過,花多眼亂,對酒品認識不是太深的初哥,大可參加 Top 25 Celebratory Reception,來個預先補課,因為大會早在十月便已邀請多位品酒名家,為一眾佳釀評分,選出了最出類拔萃的 25 枝「頭馬」。參加此項活動,無疑是集中品嘗了最精彩最不容錯過的美酒。
論到美食,必是每年一早客滿的 Chef’s Trip to the Farm 及 Chef’s Table Luncheon;當然,還有 Araxi Restaurant、Fairmont Chateau Whistler 酒店餐廳 Wild Flower Restaurant 等的 winemaker dinner 及 brunch,都是熱門焦點。
在諸式講座中,今年潻有一大廚對壘環節,在 11 月 12 日於 Whistler Conference Centre 舉行,不收門票,歡迎公眾參加,與眾同樂,希望這有趣環節可以年年舉行!
